The Union’s new campaign for Worldwide Cancer Research has just launched. The campaign for the St Andrews based charity highlights the ‘lost’ research that the charity is unable to fund in its drive to fight the disease. This is the first TV campaign by the charity; and it will be supported by direct marketing and social media channels through Union Direct and Union Digital.
Worldwide Cancer Research funds research into any type of cancer anywhere in the world, directing funds to the world’s best research institutions. The charity has a truly global approach, funding some of the world’s most diverse and unexpected projects.
It is driven by the belief in the value of a global perspective; a perspective that research doesn’t happen in isolation, and the answers to cancer are unlikely to come from one scientist, in one lab, in one country.
Beverley Hart, Director of Marketing and Communications at Worldwide Cancer Research, said; “We can’t overstate how important research is to finding the answers to cancer. But these answers will never be unearthed without a global research strategy. We are the only UK cancer charity that funds early-stage research into every type of cancer all over the world. Cancer knows no boundaries. If we’re serious about tackling it, then neither can we.”
The campaign will run nationally across the UK. TV production is by MTP.
